What this course is about
This presentation is based on a recent webinar from our eLearning platform, focusing on the work of AsIAm, Ireland’s Autism Charity.
It introduces who AsIAm are—their mission to remove the invisible barriers faced by Autistic people and their families, and their vision of a society where every Autistic person is accepted and has equal opportunities.
As we go through the slides, we will explore what inclusion means in practice, particularly in community settings like our walks. The presentation highlights ways we can better understand, support, and create welcoming environments for Autistic individuals.
For us as walk leaders, this course is about building awareness, developing empathy, and learning simple, practical ways to ensure everyone feels comfortable, included, and able to participate fully.
